Spaghetti alla Puttanesca


Spaghetti alla puttanesca is an italian pasta dish that is spicy with a bit of tang. The ingredients are typical of  southern italy recipes.

Ingredients:

2 handfuls of spaghetti
5 cherry tomatoes cubed
5 anchovies
2 tbsp crushed tomatoes
4 minced cloves garlic
3 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup of water
2 tbsp capers
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 - 1 tsp chili flakes

Method:

Cook spaghetti according to package. In the meantime, add olive oil, garlic and capers to a frying pan. Add anchovies and cook for a few minutes. Add cubed tomatoes, crushed tomatoes and 1/4 cup of water. Add chilies and bring sauce to boil, reduce heat and cook for about 10 minutes.

Drain pasta and add to sauce in pan. Coat pasta with sauce, add parsley and serve with an additional anchovy.
